Ziya at the final AI BARsession 2024: Innovation meets ethics

On Tuesday evening, the final AI BARsession for 2024 took place and impressively demonstrated how closely ethics and innovation are intertwined.
In the atmospheric setting of the Domicil, the Dortmund digital network gathered to discuss the topic of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (Explainable AI, XAI).
Prof. Dr. Eva Schmidt from TU Dortmund and the Lamarr Institute illustrated in her presentation how important explainability is for building trust in AI systems. Especially in sensitive areas such as medicine or justice, traceability is a central ethical factor for deploying AI technologies fairly and transparently.
