Hello World, we are Ziya!
In 2024, three experts from the Ruhr area founded their AI company in Dortmund. What started as an idea at TU Dortmund is now a team that empowers companies across Germany to deploy artificial intelligence securely and sovereignly.
The chaotic data preparation in AI projects troubled us deeply. We thought: This must be doable better. Everything we do today grew out of that conviction: consulting, training and our own products on a shared platform. The standard behind it has not changed. Technology has to serve the people who work with it.
Between steel, coal, and smoke emerges the next generation of technological revolution: AI.

Two TU Dortmund computer scientists and a business graduate from University of Duisburg-Essen recognize: It's not technology that makes AI projects fail, but implementation. NRW startup grant awarded.
From Lab to Market
EXIST startup funding enables the transition from research to an operating business. First customers validate the demand for practical AI solutions.
Ziya GmbH Founded
DatenLabel and the Digital AI Strategy platform go live. Ziya becomes one of Germany's first AI startups to receive EXIST follow-up funding.
Nationwide Expansion
Ziya wins customers across Germany, from mid-sized companies to public institutions. Consulting, training and development all come from one team.

The work in customer projects turns into products of our own: AI agents that work inside our customers' systems, on a shared platform, in the cloud or in their own infrastructure.

Rooted in Germany's AI ecosystem
Ziya grew out of TU Dortmund and works with universities, funding programmes and networks in North Rhine-Westphalia and across Germany. The stations, one by one:
A TU Dortmund spin-off
Supported by the Centrum für Entrepreneurship und Transfer (CET) at TU Dortmund and by the Start-up Center of the University of Wuppertal. Together with the University of Wuppertal as its academic partner, Ziya has received an AI award.
CET at TU DortmundFunded twice by EXIST
The EXIST programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has funded Ziya twice: as a start-up grant in 2023 and as follow-up funding in 2024. The AI Hub Hamburg confirmed the venture for EU co-financed funding.

The AI pipeline DatenLabel was funded by the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Economic Affairs (MWIKE) and twice by the BMWK, and took first place in the pitch final.

As an exhibitor and speaker at the Hannover Messe, the Lamarr Conference of the Lamarr Institute, in2AI, the IHK Dortmund and the Digitalhub Management. There, Ziya regularly runs AI workshops alongside Fraunhofer.
